Abstract: Teaching computer science in secondary schools is developing in accordance with
the requirements of the digital society. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching is
a new stage of this development and forms students’ analytical, critical and ethical thinking skills.
AI-based teaching tools in computer science and other subjects create conditions for personalizing
learning and increasing motivation. Online platforms and automatic assessment systems make the
student learning process more flexible and objective. Continuing education programs are important
for teachers to adapt to these technologies. At the same time, new ethical issues related to academic
integrity and plagiarism are emerging. The use of AI technologies should take into account the
protection of personal data and the risks of algorithmic bias. Interregional technological inequality
can hinder the provision of equity in education. For this reason, both legislation and teaching
methods need to be modernized. In general, the integration of AI in education is of strategic
importance for the digital future of Azerbaijan.
