Abstract: The article is dedicated to the issue of deforestation and its impact on the environment.
It examines the potential environmental consequences of forest loss, focusing on its effects on
climate, biodiversity, and ecosystems. The risks and damages caused by deforestation are also
highlighted and discussed in detail.
In addition, recent changes in forest cover in Azerbaijan are presented in tabular form, based
on statistical data, providing insight into the current trends and developments in the country.
